Daniel Ruiz Bustos

Daniel Ruiz Bustos is a Mexican scenic designer and filmmaker completing his MFA in Theatre with an emphasis on Scenic Design at The University of Texas at Austin. His work emphasizes collaborative creation across all areas of design and explores the relationship between the human body and scenography. He was a 2024 Design Fellow at Fundación Épica La Fura dels Baus in Barcelona and a 2025 USITT Student Ambassador. His thesis project Escenografía Viva investigates body-driven scenography across disciplines.
