Elena Gim
Costume Design, University of California, Los Angeles, she/her
Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Elena is a costume designer with a deep passion for history and traditional dresses. She studied Fashion Industry at Sungshin Women’s University, where she explored hanbok’s cultural significance in greater depth. Now based in Los Angeles, she is pursuing her MFA in Costume Design at UCLA, refining her craft and expanding her creative vision. Elena is the recipient of the Mildred Blount Award and finds inspiration through drawing, film, and visual storytelling, seeing design as a lens through which she understands the world.
