Emma is a Los Angeles-based costume designer and illustrator. She has a BFA in film production and studio art from Chapman University, and an MFA in costume design from UCLA. Whether she is designing for film, theater, or opera, Emma believes the artistry of costume design is rooted in empathy. Her character-first approach to design work places an emphasis on storytelling and gives each character a breath of life through the clothing they wear.
