Jimena Soto Mejia
Costume Design, UCLA, she/her


Jimena Soto Mejía is a Mexican costume designer, born and raised in Mexico City and currently based in Los Angeles, California. She holds a BFA in Fashion and Textile Design from Centro de Diseño, Cine y Televisión and is completing her MFA in Design for Theater, Film, and Television at UCLA.
Her recent work includes theatrical costume design for the UCLA School of Music’s productions of Rodrigo (Spring 2025) and The Turn of the Screw (Fall 2025), both directed by James Darrah. Her film work at UCLA TFT includes The Heart Posture (dir. Juwan Rashaad), Manual Breve para una Mesa Blanca (dir. Giovanni R. Tirado), Use-Case (dir. Akhil Koppisetti), as well as SPFX work for Tommy Has to Go (dir. Sisi Zhao).
