Junyuan (Betty) Xiong

Junyuan (Betty) Xiong is a multifaceted visual artist from China whose creative expertise spans scenic design, illustration, and visual design. She began her artistic journey at the School of Visual Arts in New York, earning a BFA in Illustration before pursuing graduate studies in scenic design at UC Irvine. Betty’s theatrical work blends her background in illustration with the three-dimensional world of stage production, creating visually rich and emotionally resonant environments. Her credits include scenic and co-production design for The Prom, scenic design for 9 to 5: The Musical, and projection design for La Belle et la Bête, with additional work experience at South Coast Rep, Irvine Barclay Theater, and the Getty Villa.
