Kejia Yu
Scenic & Production Design, Carnegie Mellon University, she/her


Kejia Yu is a scenic and production designer who graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. Grounded in empathy and keen observation, she creates immersive environments inspired by storytelling and cultural perspectives. Her work spans theater, film, television, and event design, with recent projects including Armida at Pittsburgh Opera and The Inseparables at CMU. Kejia is also passionate about illustration and concept art, as reflected in her thesis project, a visual exploration of speculative worlds in The Three Body Problem by Liu Cixin. She received the George Kimberly Award for Set Design in 2025.
