Costume Design, University of California - Los Angeles, she/her

Ruthie Reichman is a Los Angeles-born costume designer with a dual B.A. in Biology and Theatre Arts from Earlham College, where her passion for storytelling through clothing first took root. As an M.F.A. candidate in Costume Design at UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television, Ruthie has designed for both screen and stage. Her graduate school career spans multiple short films, a feature film, and two main-stage productions: one with puppetry for the New Play Festival and Xanadu, a high-tech collaboration featuring digital actors, motion capture, and roller skates with REMAP. Equal parts artist and scientist, Ruthie brings a deep curiosity, technical skill, and a love for innovation to every project she touches. At UCLA, Ruthie has received a Regent's Stipend, the Fine Arts Trust Award, the JoAnne Stolaroff Cotsen Award for Costume Design, the UCLA Alumni Award for Excellence in Costume Design, and most recently, the Fred Hayman Fellowship in Costume Design.
